Finely-grained white earthenware that brings out the vibrant glaze colors.
The glaze, with its beautiful lustrous sheen and crackles, develops a pale, gentle sky blue hue.
This plump, round vase for a single flower was crafted by combining these two elements.
All processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, trimming, drying, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously done by hand in my studio, which is equipped with an electric potter's wheel and a small electric kiln.
I aim to create a flower vase that offers both a charming, rounded cuteness and the subtly rustic, calming atmosphere characteristic of pottery.
Due to the porous nature of pottery, a waterproofing agent has been applied.
This treatment has been confirmed to prevent water seepage for approximately 40 hours. However, there is a slight possibility that evaporated moisture may emerge from the base, creating a subtly damp feel.
If this is a concern, placing a fabric coaster underneath will ensure comfortable use.
The item you will receive is the exact piece shown in the product images.
The base has been sanded to minimize scratching your table.
I am constantly exploring new combinations of glazes and clays, creating a variety of pottery in different colors and shapes.
Each piece is unique, as it is impossible to create exact duplicates; they are similar but truly one-of-a-kind vessels.
I would be delighted if you find a piece that you love.
I hope you will enjoy this as a small touch of color for your room or table.
