If the leather becomes heavily saturated with water, dry it as soon as possible and reapply oil for protection. Allowing it to air dry can cause the leather's structure to shrink, deform, and harden. 2. To avoid dark water stains on the leather: Use pure water wet wipes, or a damp (not dripping) paper towel or napkin to evenly wipe the entire affected leather surface. Dry with cool air. If only hot air is available, maintain a distance of at least 30 cm from the leather. After drying, apply leather oil for conditioning. 3. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 4. In addition to the warmth and oils from your hands gradually imparting a natural, warm luster to the leather, we recommend periodically wiping it with a dry cloth and then conditioning it with leather oil. 5. Mold spots on leather are formed over time from dust and humidity. For items not in use for extended periods, first wipe off dust with a dry cloth, then wrap the item in a dust bag, brown paper, or cotton cloth (cut from an old white cotton t-shirt) and store it in a well-ventilated area. Frequent handling of the leather item can also reduce the chance of mold by preventing dust and moisture buildup, much like the principle of "a rolling stone gathers no moss." 6. Avoid using cleaning products containing alcohol. **About Natural Leather:** We strive to avoid obvious scars from mosquito bites or other marks on the cowhide incurred during the animal's growth.
