A slightly rough white earthenware clay with a rustic texture that speaks of its pottery origins. A crystal glaze where white crystals dance across a blue-green base, evoking a snowy field. This medium plate has been created by combining these elements. This particular crystal glaze is fascinating, as its color varies significantly depending on subtle differences in glaze thickness and firing temperature. In this firing, the glaze application was thinner overall. Therefore, after the initial firing, we reapplied the glaze and fired it again. The result is a unique piece where the earthy color of the clay shows through on the rim and underside, while the areas where the glaze was reapplied feature distinctive bluish-white crystals. A medium plate typically measures about 15-18 cm in diameter, making it a suitable size for a larger side plate, a dish for individual servings of side dishes, or a cake plate. While possessing a distinctive character, its earthy feel allows for interesting color pairings with food and ingredients, making you want to place various items on it. The creation process involves using a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel at home.
