I dyed old Japanese tenuguis repeatedly with persimmon tannin.
Persimmon astringent is a natural dye that has been around for a long time in Japan and is still made from blue persimmon astringent.
The cloth dyed with persimmon astringency has a little glued hardness at first, but as you use it, it becomes soft and familiar, and you can enjoy the change in color.
They are hand-dyed one by one, so there may be some unevenness.
The size is about 80 cm x 33 cm.
Some are larger and some are smaller.
Most of these are invaluable and were distributed for greetings and promotions more than 30 years ago.
The dyed vintage fabric is delicate and will tear under heavy load.
The color of the dye may fade.
Please separate the laundry from other items and use a soft way.
Most of these are dyed with a traditional Japanese dyeing method called pouring dyeing, unlike modern printed tenuguis.
You could use these tenuguis as an interior as well as handmade and sewing.
You can make skirts and trousers with 6 to 8 pieces, and dresses and overalls with 10 pieces.
These are 10 pieces as one unit and cannot be sold separately.
It takes about one to two weeks to deliver the product.
Arrival may be delayed due to the influence of covid19.
Please note that the customs duty on imports will be borne by the customer.
