Product Description

Triangles Pocket Square by Tilman Zitzmann Size: 450 x 450 mm (17.72 x 17.72") Material : 100% cotton (lighter weight, smooth cotton) Handmade in Japan, using Japanese traditional printing techniques. About LINK Pocket Square / handkerchief We’ve taken our latest furoshiki designs and reworked them into a smaller pocket-friendly size to add a splash of color to your suit this season. Some brands say silk pocket squares are the only way to go, but we're not convinced. Our pocket squares are made of the same soft cotton as the larger furoshiki — not as showy as silk, and just the right weight to be easily folded and not feel bulky in your pocket (they're also machine washable, so you don't have to worry about actually using them). All our designs are hand-printed in Japan, in a small family-owned factory just outside of Tokyo where they've been printing textiles for over 50 years. Apart from amazing attention to detail, they really know their colors. Inks are hand-mixed to perfection, then silk-screen printed until the color is equally rich on both sides of the fabric, so they look great however you fold them. Designer's words : This design consists of straight lines drawn with a simple algorithm. The main role here is played by the Golden Angle, the lesser-known nephew of the famous Golden Ratio. The Golden Angle is often found in leaves and petals, which is why the resulting geometric pattern reminds us of such natural structures. 2 colour printing. Printing process : Each of our products has been hand printed in Japan, using traditional printing techniques. We are working with a great printing company called Chiffonez in Tokyo, who specialize in the printing of furoshiki. To make sure we get the best results possible, we keep a close dialogue with the printers, retaining a good balance between our ideas and their invaluable knowledge.
