Variations in the thickness of the split grass and the artisan's hand strength result in differing levels of fineness in the finished products. Based on traditional grading, complemented by the finest grade currently achievable, our rush-woven items are categorized into four levels of fineness: Coarse Weave (Classic), Medium Weave, Fine Weave, and Exquisite Weave. Weave density is measured in "tai cun" units (1 tai cun = 3.03 cm). One row is formed by the interlacing of upper and lower strands.
