This piece combines the charm of a fairy cameo with the versatility of a brooch and necklace. The cameo is made of acrylic resin. Unlike traditional shell or stone cameos, where the image is carved, this acrylic cameo achieves incredibly fine detail that would be impossible to render through carving alone, especially on such a small scale. It's reminiscent of an illustration from a miniature book... The design evokes the delicate fairy illustrations of Cicely Mary Barker, once found as collectible cards in chocolate boxes in Japan. The artwork depicts a fairy seated against a backdrop of dahlia-like flowers, complete with beautiful, swallowtail butterfly-like wings. The cameo itself is generously sized at 4cm x 3cm, allowing you to fully appreciate every intricate detail of the delicate artwork. For scale, image 6 shows it placed on a tray roughly the size of an adult woman's hand, and image 7 places it alongside a person for a near life-size comparison. The back is equipped with both a brooch pin and a loop, enabling its use as both a brooch and a necklace. Because the loop is relatively small, it comes with a necklace chain that can be easily attached and detached with its clasp. The heart-shaped clasp adds a cute touch, even when partially visible. For added security when worn as a necklace, using the brooch pin as well can help prevent excessive movement. The brooch pin features a secure rotating lock. For durability, both the brooch pin and the loop have been selected for their strength, being soldered and then plated, rather than simply glued. The metal hardware is gold-colored. The current batch features a more greyish, blue-toned base color for the light purple, compared to previous versions (see images 1-3). For your peace of mind, a silicone brooch stopper is included.
