Butterflies are formed by layering hibiscus petal shapes onto the lower half of butterfly wings. The main inspiration was to capture the delicate flutter of butterflies and the subtle iridescent glow from the scales on their wings~ ꕤ ̊⊹+ The surface of a butterfly's wings is covered in countless scales, each measuring approximately 50 to 200 micrometers (1 micrometer = 0.001 millimeters). They are as fine as powder~ These scales are prone to shedding and serve several key functions, such as helping the butterfly break free from danger (like spiderwebs) and escape. They also provide waterproofing, camouflage, aid in buoyancy, and regulate body temperature, all contributing to the butterfly's survival. And, of course, they create that beautiful iridescence~ ꕤ ̊⊹+ The creation process involved a blend of techniques, all dedicated to faithfully reproducing the delicate, iridescent glow of the scales on the butterfly's wings. Initially, the finalized butterfly shape felt like something was missing.... I almost considered abandoning it and revisiting it later (my assistant exclaimed: When is later? We've been looking forward to this for so long! ~rolling on the floor). Alright, I had to keep trying! After discarding an uncountable number of attempts... I finally got it right~ This is also why this new release has been delayed.
