**Southern Pig-Footed Bandicoot**
The Southern Pig-Footed Bandicoot is an endemic marsupial herbivore of Australia, once distributed across the Australian interior before its extinction. Slightly smaller than a hare, it possessed slender limbs, a pointed snout, and forelimbs resembling pig's trotters, which gave it its name. They were never abundant, with sparse descriptions from Indigenous peoples noting, "The Southern Pig-Footed Bandicoot always moved slowly, dragging its hind legs, and would dig burrows in warm, dry places."
While numerous carnivorous animals were natural predators, the greatest threat came from humans. In the 19th century, the land clearing efforts of European colonists destroyed the bandicoot's habitat. Coupled with the introduction of invasive species such as cats, dogs, and foxes, the bandicoot population plummeted, ultimately leading to its extinction in the early 20th century.
**IUCN Status: Extinct (EX)**

Q: What is ironing embroidery?
The embroidery has an adhesive backing, allowing it to be ironed onto clothing, canvas bags, hats, and more. Here are the steps for use:
1. Remove the green clay from the back used for fixation.
2. Place the ironing embroidery patch in the desired position. Cover it with a cloth about the thickness of a handkerchief to prevent damage to the embroidery and garment from high heat.
3. Set your iron to the highest temperature and press down for at least 30 seconds, ensuring the edges are completely adhered to the surface.
4. Allow the ironing embroidery to cool before use.
* Do not use a steam iron.
* Do not iron onto nylon, silk, waterproof materials, sweaters, or down-filled clothing.
* Do not allow children to operate this independently.
