Material Explanations: The heavily utilized 14k gold-plated material in the mixandfun studio features a layer of 1/20 14k gold electroplated onto a brass surface. This is a popular choice in recent years, known for its ease of care and lasting color, all at a more accessible price point than solid 14k gold. Solid 14k gold, on the other hand, is pure 14k gold throughout, containing approximately 58.5% gold with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. In Taiwan's climate, it offers even easier maintenance and a more refined color. It is also a suitable option for those with sensitive skin. Specially plated alloy is another material we frequently use. mixandfun carefully selects unfinished chains that we love and then specially electroplates them. This ensures that the color remains vibrant under normal wear conditions for an extended period. Wearing Precautions: 1. It's best to put on all accessories after dressing and remove them before changing into loungewear at home. Avoid wearing them while bathing, soaking in hot springs, or swimming. 2. For earrings, we recommend using the included silicone stoppers to minimize the chance of loss. 3. Given Taiwan's warm and humid climate, if you plan to store accessories for an extended period, gently wipe them with a soft cloth before placing them in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, make it a habit to fasten the clasp when taking them off to reduce tangling. 5. Both gold-plated and solid 14k gold, as well as specially plated alloys, will show signs of wear over time. Your understanding is appreciated. 6. A little maintenance tip: If you notice any oxidation on your jewelry, don't worry. You can fill a bowl with water, add a little salt, and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove it. It should regain its shine. (Material ratios may vary by brand.) It's recommended to start with less expensive silver pieces for testing. 7. Place solid gold or regular alloy jewelry in your palm.
