What is the wood-firing process?** American, Japanese, and Miaoli clays are mixed in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-building (not on a potter's wheel) to slowly form the shape. After basic shaping, the body lines are refined, and then polished to complete the greenware. Once placed in the kiln, the wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood lasts for five days and four nights continuously. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the fire marks within the kiln flow across the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple patterns. After five days and four nights of ash and fire mark interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! What should our esteemed guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As works are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear traces of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process; slight irregularities in the rim or minor crafting scratches are normal and do not affect usability.
