The Japanese admire Confucianism and Han culture, naturally, classic stone Acorus is indispensable. A special Japanese variety of Hime-Acorus 'Ogonhime', is one of the few Hime-Acorus not with green leaves. Admire it at your fingertips, presenting a shimmering, classic long green mountain grass. Easy to care for but slow-growing. Japanese Hime-Acorus 'Ogon Tenun' (Golden Velvet) grows only slightly faster than 'Kibunehime'. Taiwanese Kawuo Kama-gata round pot with partial glaze, wood-fired. The four feet are sharply carved, and the wabi-sabi aesthetic further enhances the bright leaf color. After the Lantern Festival each year, all leaves can be trimmed. Place in a well-ventilated, shaded area and water thoroughly daily. Once the leaves grow over 1.5 cm, provide normal sunlight. The leaves will become finer and shorter, offering a different charm. If leaves are not forcibly trimmed, they will gradually become finer with sufficient sunlight within a year.
