Wood marquetry is a craft where pieces of wood with different natural tones are precisely fitted together like a puzzle to create patterns or images. Some of the dark dots and lines are achieved by carefully charring the wood. No artificial coloring is used; all colors are derived from the natural wood itself. Each piece is handcrafted, honoring the unique grain of every wood used. Adorn your clothing as a distinctive accent, or perhaps attach it to a hat or a simple bag… When hung on a wall, it becomes a charming miniature painting.
