We create accessories and small items using deer antlers, buffalo antlers, iridescent coral, natural stones, etc. on the theme of "wearable nature" on Okushiri Island, Hokkaido.
This is a deer antler hemimorphite pendant.
By chance, we found a antler that matched the shape of a natural stone, so we created it while leaving the antler pattern all around the circumference.
The back side is hollowed out so you can enjoy the transparency.
Hemimorphite
A vivid and bright blue-green natural stone with a sea-like pattern.
It is not widely distributed, and high-quality ones are especially rare.
As its Japanese name "heteropolar mineral" suggests, it has a heteropolar crystal structure and is one of the silicate minerals that are produced in the oxidation zone of zinc deposits.
Such a collection of fine crystals is called a "coro charm" and has a structure like frost, with later-formed crystals dominating the earlier-formed crystals.
