【Instructor | Mu Liang Workshop Team】
Founded by Teacher Hsiao-Chu (Chia-Liang Chu), the studio's name "Mu Liang" is derived from the character "Liang" in his name. It signifies an attitude of aspiration and requirement towards works and life, embodying the spirit of a craftsman.
Skilled in deconstructing and recombining various techniques such as design, illustration, metalworking, woodworking, and sculpting, the team focuses on creating by combining diverse materials. Unbound by traditional craft styles, they often showcase composite aesthetics born from the interplay of copper, wood, lacquerware, and glass. With a spirit of reverence for nature and materials, they skillfully utilize recycled materials to craft lifestyle crafts that are close to modern life, rich in design, and infused with an illustrative style.
The essence of creation is to be content with one's circumstances, but the spirit is to create continuously. Under this philosophy, they produce works that exhibit the integration of diverse materials and are incorporated into everyday objects.
