A single earring featuring antique lemon-colored onion skin beads, silver beads, and blue beads.
The bead with its beautiful lemon hue and striped pattern is an antique Venetian bead known as "onion skin." These beads were once traded to Africa. They are layered like onion skins, with visible ruby-colored, mountain-shaped layers inside. A charming and rare bead.
(Onion skin bead size: Length: approx. 1cm, Diameter: 0.8cm)
The blue bead is an antique bead called an India-Pacific bead. The origin of beads known as India-Pacific beads dates back to the 2nd century BCE. This particular bead is an archaeological find from Indonesia, dating to around the 10th century – over 1000 years old! Its muted, captivating hue is truly alluring.
The plump silver beads are individually handcrafted. The floral-shaped components at the top and bottom are also made of silver925.
The small beads and double helix rings in between are Karen silver.
