French Centennial Bird Engraving Hand-Colored/Owl-Reframed Print
These prints are from a natural encyclopedia published in France around 1850. The animal prints in the book were created by some well-known artists in France in the 19th century.
These prints are hand-carved, transferred to the page, and then hand-colored by the artist. Therefore, although the blank parts next to them have turned yellow after hundreds of years, the colors and patterns on the birds are still clearly visible.
A closer look at the birds' feathers and eyes shows that they are lifelike. The carving skills, coloring and painting techniques are first-class. Each one is unique. Because it is a high-quality print, the production history is also very clear, with the signatures of the artists who participated in the painting in the 19th century and the names of the birds. The print has been reframed by a hand-framed master, simulating the color matching method of foreign frames. It is very worthy of collection.
Full frame size: 28.5*18.8cm
The product is in good condition. The inner pages are from a century-old book, so they may have some yellowing and other historical signs. Please purchase if you can accept this.
