"Looking at the Spring Breeze" is the symbol and memory of the times
"Looking at the Spring Breeze" was written by Li Linqiu and composed by Deng Yuxian. It was originally sung by Chun Chun. It was released by Gu Lun Meiya Records in 1933 and has been sung for 90 years. In addition to being constantly covered and performed by singers of the era, it was a Taiwan old song poll in 2000. ranked first; has been included in the 12-year national education curriculum in Taiwan; it is the underground school song of National Taiwan University, the first university in Taiwan; it is also the designated representative song of many international artists who come to Taiwan to perform; it is listed on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs The most viewed video recorded the wonderful performance of teachers and students from Changhua Omura Elementary School on the streets of Vienna, demonstrating the best people-to-people diplomacy. "Wangchunfeng" is no longer just a song, it is a representative symbol of Taiwanese heritage of the times!
The lyrics of "Looking at the Spring Breeze" were written by the lyricist Li Linqiu when he was 24 years old. There are as many as six versions in the poet's manuscripts preserved by his family. It can be imagined that the lyricist carefully crafted each word when writing. Once the lyrics were sung, It is simple and smooth and full of artistic conception. In Li Linqiu's oral interview, he once mentioned that this song was written for girls all over the world. The advocacy of female self-consciousness in Taiwan can be seen in this song from the 1930s.
Looking forward to the spring breeze, lyrics by Li Linqiu, music by Deng Yuxian, pure original vocals
Alone at night without a companion under the lamp, the breeze blows across the face
Seventeen or eighteen years old, unmarried, meeting the young man's family
Sure enough, who has a beautiful face and white flesh?
I want to ask Yi, I silly and I play the pipa in my heart
The desire for a husband to be my husband-in-law is in my heart.
Waiting for you to come and pick the flowers of youth when they will bloom
Suddenly I heard someone coming to open the door to look for it.
Yue Laoxiao Ruan Dadai was deceived by the wind without knowing it
