Hand-Molded Ceramic Draining Soap Dish | Heyu Soap
Simple lines × Handmade warmth × Just the right feel for use
❍ About this piece
From the washbasin to the work desk, we wanted to create a soap dish that is truly functional and beautiful.
Through our own use, we slowly explored, adjusted bit by bit, and created a simple form with a little ingenuity. It perfectly holds a bar of soap and allows water to drain away just right. Not flashy, but very practical.
We chose earthenware, a clay with slightly coarse grains. The finished pieces are not as delicate as porcelain, but they possess a natural simplicity and honesty that you can feel with your hands and see with your eyes.
The surface may have some specks of color, pinholes, or small glaze cracks. These are not flaws, but traces that naturally form.
❍ Material
Earthenware, Glaze
❍ Dimensions
The soap dish is specifically designed for handmade soaps, measuring approximately 8 × 6 × 2.5 cm. The size is just right, allowing your soap to sit securely and be easy to use.
(Each piece is handmade, so dimensions may vary slightly.)
❍ Production Notes
Each piece is fired twice at high temperatures, ensuring durability.
Occasional pinholes, natural glaze variations, or fine crack lines on the surface are characteristics that naturally form due to the earthenware material and the firing process.
As each piece is handcrafted, the curvature and glaze distribution will vary slightly, which is part of its unique character.
❍ Packaging & Sustainability
All our shipments are packaged using recycled bubble wrap and cardboard boxes.
It may not be exquisitely presented, but for us, allowing every resource to be reused is the better choice.
