Sakuraba Glaze Yunomi

Smooth, fine-grained white clay where the glaze's color shines through. The "Sakuraba" (cherry blossom) glaze, with its matte, smooth texture and rich, lovely pink color, is its defining feature. We've created this yunomi using a combination of the two. This is a generously sized yunomi, larger than average. Its cute, rounded shape is delightful, and it nestles comfortably in your hands when you hold it. The smooth texture of the glaze adds a touch of warmth. Perfect for sencha, hojicha, coffee, or café au lait. It can also be used as a vessel for making puddings or jellies. We hope you enjoy using it, appreciating its warm cherry blossom hue. All processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisquing, glazing, and firing, are done by hand in my home studio, which is equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. Each piece has subtle variations in expression and color, allowing you to enjoy the unique character of handmade items. The item you receive will be similar to those in the product images. There are currently two items available, and I have included photos of both at the end of the product images as they have slight differences in size and form. If both are available, you may choose your preferred one by notifying us at the time of purchase. The base of the cup will be sanded to minimize scratching your table. I am continuously exploring new combinations of clays and glazes, creating a variety of ceramics in different colors and shapes. To address this, we apply a waterproofing treatment to all tableware before shipping, so no initial "Mewatashi" (water filling) is necessary. This waterproofing process requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement. If you do not require the waterproofing treatment, please inform us at the time of purchase. - Cutlery shown in product images is not included. - We strive to capture and edit product images to be as true to the actual item as possible. However, colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and lighting conditions.
