If the colored surface of the titanium is scrubbed off, or the original color is revealed, rest assured that this is not a coating. Do not soak with stain removers, hydrogen peroxide, or other reducing acid series cleaners, or sodium percarbonate. When lunch boxes, food containers, or square pots are first steamed or cooked, or when food stains or large purple-blue patches appear after washing, or when brown patches appear after washing without heating (this is not rust; pure titanium does not rust), these are inherent metallic properties or changes caused by our prior firing process. They do not affect safe use, and will fade or gradually disappear with normal use over time. 2. Square utensils, due to even greater difficulty in stress release, exhibit more pronounced color changes and are more prone to developing brown patches. 3. In ovens above 250°C or direct flame from a gas stove, purple-blue color changes may occur. These colors will not disappear but do not affect safe use. 4. For large flat surfaces, direct flame from a gas stove can more easily cause warping. 5. Titanium easily retains water stains due to its metallic properties. If this is a concern, dry the utensil immediately after washing to prevent water stains from affecting its appearance.
