This piece is from Bijoux Fix (originating in 1823) in France. The gold plating on the jewelry contains gold, which is why the gold color is so beautiful and resistant to fading!
This type of tie pin became popular around the 1830s, initially worn by wealthy gentlemen, and then became widely popular in the 19th century. It was primarily used to secure the folds of silk and lace ties and cravats.
As it was worn by specific individuals, the materials and designs tend to be more unique.
Materials are gold plating and suspected freshwater pearls.
It is substantial and in very good condition, with some age-related wear on the back, which does not affect its aesthetic appeal or usability.
Total length is 6 cm, with the main body measuring 1 cm.
The last image is extracted from Fix's 1911 catalog, which you can reference for period designs.
