Old Russian chess set 1950s vintage wooden Soviet weighted chessmen antique

Manufacturer: Industrial and cooperative artel “Koopermuzyka” (later – Zvenigorod factory of cultural goods No. 1), Zvenigorod city, Moscow region. Board 40×40 cm. King`s height 102 mm. Pawn`s height 56 mm. Weight is about 1.4 kg. Great old Soviet chess pieces. One of the best chess figures of 1950s. Such chess sets had been producing in more simplified style since 1960s already. This is a rather rare chess set, since it had been making in this form only until the second part of the 1950s. Good knights. Weighted chess pieces. Wide base of the figures. Damages: white king has no its final; three black pieces: pawn, rook and queen are from the same style similar chess set. It took a long time really to find the similar spare chess pieces for the set. The difference is minimum and absolutely does not catch the eye since after all spare parts are from similar chess set.
