"The wind glides over the gently sloping green fields along the railway, over the tracks, and through the woods without shaking the leaves. The cuckoo's cries pierced through the soft light and disappeared into the distant skyline. The hills undulated several layers, They are arranged in a row like huge cats asleep, squatting under the sunshine of time."-Haruki Murakami, "Pinball Toys in 1973"
How did the lynx god come from? Why is it blue?
I first read Murakami's novel and created this painting. When I painted it, I thought it was both a mountain and a cat. The color must be special and fantastic! So Hao went blue without hesitation, and then extended the role of the lynx god.
Most of the time, they guard the earth with their fat and steady footwalls, and use their fluffy tails to wipe out human worries, but occasionally they also want to be a little mischief and wander with humans.
This is how the lynx god was born!
