Whispers of Humanity — The Language of Love Teaching Kit | Includes Blu-ray Disc

With teenagers experiencing the whirlwind of adolescent hormones and emotional rollercoasters, approaching the topic of "love" with a lecture can often be perceived as preachy and out of touch. To bypass this, we've opted for visual storytelling over mere discussion. Last year, we enlisted six teenagers for training in psychological knowledge by registered art psychotherapist, Ms. Leung Jing-wan, followed by guidance from documentary director Mr. Wong Chiu-bong on filming short pieces about love. We believe that students will find resonance in the works created by directors close to their own age. The six documentary films explore themes such as the separation of friends, family conflicts, rediscovering parents and grandparents, and using art to foster connections with others. These films are compiled in the Blu-ray disc of the "Whispers of Humanity — The Language of Love Teaching Kit." The accompanying booklet, authored by Ms. Leung Jing-wan, is designed to assist teachers, social workers, counselors, and youth service professionals. Through screening the films and engaging in various activities, they can help students explore the theme of "love," cultivate empathy, foster self-awareness, learn to set boundaries through interactive games, and understand the emotional expression of those around them.
