Hand-dyed thorn Embroidery thread 20/2, 20/3 Dye: Water Lilac Length: 30m, 50m This season's color introduction: *Green rotten leaves (あおくちば): describe the yellow-green color with astringency, just like the color of some leaves that have turned yellow in early autumn, before falling and decaying after raining. This color comes from the unfermented color of water cloves in the early stage of cooking and dyeing. *Golden Tea (きんちゃ): It is a golden brown color, which comes from the color produced by the concentration and fermentation of water cloves for many times. Water lilac is a common herb that grows in the countryside of Taiwan. It is more likely to be collected in sufficient quantities after heavy rains around rivers or rice fields. Its slightly greenish yellow color is a natural flavor brought from the growing environment when it is not mordant. Most of the original production threads before dyeing are hand-spun cotton threads by Japanese craftsmen, and a small part of them are pure cotton threads from Taiwan. All of them use Taiwanese plants as the source of dyeing materials, and are hand-extracted and dyed by hand in the appropriate season.
