Wuthering Heights Heathland Handwoven Merino Wool Long Scarf

This handwoven wool scarf (with cotton warp threads) is inspired by the heath-covered moors in Emily Brontë's novel "Wuthering Heights." I have woven into this piece the intense passion and complex spirituality of the protagonist, Heathcliff, along with the resilient nature of the heath flowers that bloom strongly every year in that desolate land. The weft features a blend of Merino wool, Mohair, and decorative art yarns. The parts that touch your skin are primarily soft Merino wool. Dimensions: Approx. 34 cm x 204 cm (including 5 cm tassels and 2 cm side fringe). Weight: 159g, creating a wonderfully light and airy finish. I create unique colors by combining numerous yarns. After weaving, every piece undergoes a "fulling" process (thorough washing to remove impurities and soften the texture). Due to this process, the width may vary slightly. There may be slight variations in width between 33 cm and 35 cm, which I hope you will enjoy as a characteristic of handwoven work. "Saori Weaving" is a concept proposed by Misao Jo, described as "weaving of the senses, giving form to one's thoughts and emotions in the moment." Uses pre-dyed wool yarn. ________________________ Origin / Method Japan / Handmade 　 ◎ Gentle hand washing at home is recommended. ◎ Avoid washing machines, dryers, and bleach. ◎ Avoid hot water and vigorous scrubbing. Mix a neutral detergent (for delicate wear) into cold or lukewarm water (0–30°C). Gently shake or press-wash. Rinse twice carefully, remove excess moisture with a towel, reshape, and dry in the shade (the whole process takes 2–3 minutes). For a beautiful finish, lightly iron before drying after removing moisture. ◎ Use a medium heat setting with a pressing cloth. ◎ For long-term storage, we recommend using desiccants or mothballs. ◎ A simple "Handling Manual" in Japanese or English is included with your purchase.
