Del Prado is a publisher founded in Madrid, Spain in 1988. It also produces many peripheral products that model collectors will be interested in. Among them, the craft series is very popular. The style of this jewelry box is "The Green Family", No. 28, which is based on the "Green Family" of 17th century Chinese porcelain. The name "The Green Family" was inspired by Albert Jacquemart (1808-1875), a 19th century French ceramic art historian. In his 1873 publication "Histoire de la céramique", he first coined the ceramic term "Famille Verte" to describe the five-color decoration technique dominated by green tones, and to define the aesthetic revolution that occurred in China's manufacturing industry during the Kangxi period (1662-1772). The shape of this lidded box is based on the "melon-shaped box" used by the court to hold melons and fruits, and is decorated with auspicious motifs.
