Shippo Hana Sake Cup Hand-polished Kiriko Glass - Teapots & Teacups - Glass Blue

Product Description

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DftWUpn9OHA Please refer to the video above. Kiriko cut glass created by independent artisan Hikaru Saito. Having mastered secret hand-polishing techniques at an Edo Kiriko workshop with over 100 years of history, our studio prioritizes tradition and the "hand-polishing" technique. Even if it affects productivity or profitability, our goal is to deliver authentic Kiriko to our users. Product Description Product Name: Guinomi (Sake Cup) - Shippo Hana Dimensions: Mouth Diameter φ59mm × Height H48mm Capacity: 60ml Product Code: SK-G-si-059 Production started with the desire to create a new design using the traditional "Shippo" (Seven Treasures) pattern. The Shippo pattern consists of circles linking infinitely, representing the preciousness of human relationships and connections. Also, noticing that there were no sake cup designs featuring bold, large cuts, we decided on the direction of "a design using Shippo with bold cuts." Through various trial cuts, the design solidified into its current form, which balances the Shippo pattern with the bold cuts from the base in a perfect blend. In the center of the Shippo pattern, a "Gyoku" (Gem/Orb) is placed, which is an original design of our studio. "Gyoku" (Tama) signifies a sphere, but it also carries the meaning of "something very precious." Words like "Gyokuza" (Throne), "Gyokusho" (King in Shogi), and "Gyokuro" (High-quality green tea) all use this character to denote "something very precious." The Gyoku is finished with a matte texture (frosted glass look) through sandblasting. We named it "Shippo Hana" (Seven Treasures Flower) because "Gyoku Shippo Hana" sounded a bit clunky. We hope you will consider this piece for yourself, as a gift, or to enhance the brand image of your shop.
