We reuse broken or chipped ceramic items that would otherwise be discarded, applying Kintsugi to transform them into accessories. Our concept is to foster a connection with nature and enduring Japanese traditions, reimagining these materials into modern accessories that bridge the past and future, creating new possibilities. This piece features a deep blue ceramic fragment with a subtle leaf pattern, adorned with a black peacock freshwater pearl. The sides of the ceramic shard are finished with Kintsugi, adding a touch of gold that catches the eye and enhances the piece's refined elegance. This work uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Unlike traditional Kintsugi, which uses natural lacquer, this technique uses adhesive for bonding.
