I create my works based on the traditional Japanese craft of Ikkanbari. Ikkanbari is a method of covering a basket product with white washi paper, decorating it with colored washi paper or cloth, and finally applying persimmon tannins and water-based varnish.
It is a craft that requires finishing. Many of the pieces use old fabrics and paper, but my work uses more everyday materials.
The bag is made of cut-out flower lover fabric with green and orange washi paper on each side, and the inside is lined with green washi paper to create a unified look. Two types of cloth drawstring bags are included so that you can change the look when using the bag. The handles are covered with colorful cloth.
