Most loved, the eastern lake path, I walk, not sated, beneath green willows, on the white sand causeway. In any circumstance, beauty emanates from the depths of the soul, for the sights of nature cannot be absolutely beautiful; this beauty resides in the soul of the creator or observer. Throughout history, West Lake has unveiled exquisite spring vistas, witnessed by countless eyes. Yet, only those with the rare discernment of an aesthete, possessing a unique vision to perceive its captivating charm, can truly savor this earthly paradise bestowed by nature. Inspired by Bai Juyi's elegant poem, "Qiantang Lake Spring Excursion," which is imbued with the joy of nature's embrace, we present this collection.
