**◈ A Word from the Designer**
**Dzi beads** carry forward the "etched agate" craftsmanship, an art honed over 5,000 years of human civilization. In Tibet, they symbolize status, good fortune, and wisdom. They are cherished as family heirlooms and serve as protective amulets, often worn, collected, or offered to Buddhist deities.
We meticulously select from a **leading professional Dzi bead brand, renowned domestically for its scale and long-standing export history.** Each bead boasts **transparent sourcing, consistent quality, and fair pricing.** Over the past few decades, numerous Tibetan lamas have visited Taiwan to collect locally produced Dzi beads, which were then brought back to Tibet by collectors on pilgrimes or travels. This practice has earned these Dzi beads recognition and respect within the Tibetan cultural context, establishing a strong reputation and trust.
With a heart full of reverence, the designer has crafted this **Four-Line Horn Dzi Bead and Turquoise** piece:
The **Four-Line Horn Dzi Bead** symbolizes the **"Blessing of the Four Great Vajra Guardians,"** capable of dispelling enemies and obstacles, and averting calamities. It signifies **protecting wealth, stabilizing fortune, and inviting auspiciousness while warding off misfortune.**
Three **Four-Line Horn Dzi Beads** form the main pendant, each approximately 5.8 cm long. The beads possess a warm luster, and the four-line patterns are clear and robust, symbolizing **success in all endeavors and a flourishing career.**
The necklace chain is adorned with other precious and ancient spiritual gemstones – **Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise, and Red Agate.**
**Lapis Lazuli** is interspersed among the horn beads, showcasing high porcelain quality and beautiful veining.
**Turquoise** is featured in freeform shapes, exuding a natural, ancient, and timeless charm.
**Red Agate** beads are finished with a **matte polish**, enhancing the overall color palette while maintaining a simple and elegant aesthetic.
Following ancient traditions, the entire necklace is meticulously strung, **connected in a single line**, symbolizing the Dzi beads' **resilience, determination, and continuous prosperity.**
The necklace is designed without a clasp and measures approximately 62cm in total length.
**This is a unique piece, a singular creation, awaiting its destined collector who embodies both fortune and wisdom.**
**Dzi Beads**
The Tibetan term for "Dzi bead" is pronounced "Dzi" (romanized zi), meaning beauty, divine power, and wealth. Its name reflects the Tibetan belief that they are "jewels from the heavens." Thus, modern Taiwanese collectors coined the name "Tian Zhu" (heavenly beads).
Dzi beads are heirlooms of the ancient "etched agate" craft:
Approximately 2,500 to 5,000 years ago, Tibetan artisans ground natural agate (jade) into shapes like pestles and discs. They then processed shallow mineral layers into grayish-white pigments, used to paint auspicious patterns (such as vases, lotuses, tiger stripes, eye patterns, and lines) onto the agate. These were then fired at high temperatures, allowing the pigments to deeply penetrate the agate's surface. As time passed, fewer individuals mastered this craft and cultural context, making each Dzi bead exceptionally precious.
In Tibet, Dzi beads symbolize status, good fortune, and wisdom. They are treasured family heirlooms and protective amulets, often worn, collected, or offered to Buddhist deities.
Our Dzi beads originate from a **leading professional brand, renowned domestically for its scale and long-standing export history.** Each bead comes with **transparent sourcing, consistent quality, and fair pricing.** In recent decades, the supply of Dzi beads from Tibet has significantly decreased, with locally produced Dzi beads dominating the market. Many Tibetan lamas have visited Taiwan to collect these local Dzi beads, which were subsequently brought back to Tibet by collectors on pilgrimages or travels, earning them recognition and respect within the Tibetan cultural context.
**Horn Dzi Beads**
The horn-like texture symbolizes strength, overcoming difficulties and obstacles, enhancing willpower and action. Since ancient times, it has been revered as a symbol of power, protection, and longevity.
Horn Dzi beads (Horn Dzi / 牛角珠) are named for their curved shape, resembling a bull's horn, and commonly feature three or four lines.
Three-Line Horn Dzi Beads: Symbolize the "Three Eyes of the Buddha" or the "purity of body, speech, and mind." They also represent the blessings of the "Three Stars of Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity," embodying the fusion of auspiciousness, wealth, and wisdom, assisting the wearer in achieving their desires and enhancing fortune, health, and wisdom.
Four-Line Horn Dzi Beads: Are believed to possess the **"Blessing of the Four Great Vajra Guardians,"** capable of dispelling enemies and obstacles and averting calamities. They promote stability in all directions, strengthen family fortunes, and secure careers, signifying the protection of wealth, stabilization of luck, and the invitation of auspiciousness while warding off misfortune.
When selecting Horn Dzi beads, clarity and solidity of the patterns, along with uniform lines, are emphasized to ensure both quality and auspicious energy.
**Agate**
Agate (瑪瑙), also known as "玉瓍," is primarily composed of silica from volcanic eruptions. It is a relatively abundant gemstone on Earth, making it one of the oldest gemstones in history.
After volcanic eruptions, silica melts entered the air pockets of volcanic rock or fissures in other rocks. Layer by layer, ring by ring, they settled, forming opaque, translucent, or transparent colors. This results in "banded agate" (intricately layered ones are even called "silk agate"). When occurring in dot-like distributions resembling snowflakes, they are commonly known as "sakura agate."
Agate is composed of various colors (due to mineral inclusions) and may form in concentric circles, wavy patterns, layers, or parallel bands, hence the saying, "A thousand types of agate, ten thousand kinds of jade."
Agate symbolizes stable energy, calming emotions, alleviating anxiety, enhancing vitality and vigor, strengthening personal aura and magnetic field, attracting positive energy and good luck, boosting fortune, and further enhancing creativity and inspiration, leading to a flow of ideas during the creative process.
With its broad spectrum of colors, agate corresponds to the seven chakras of the human body, making it a precious and beautiful gem with both historical value and functional properties.
**Turquoise**
Turquoise (松石) ranges in color from blue, green, to light green and pale yellow. It is one of the ancient gemstones, revered as a mystical and protective object in ancient Egypt, Mexico, and Persia. Ancient rulers used turquoise to display their divine authority, political power, and wealth.
The black veins on the surface of turquoise are called "iron lines," formed by the oxidation of iron elements within the turquoise. Thus, each iron line is a unique gift from nature.
Furthermore, turquoise is graded based on its degree of "vitrification." The higher the vitrification, the fewer iron lines, the denser the structure, and the rarer the specimen.

**◈ Care and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess natural luster and unique textures (minor details such as tiny black spots, stone lines, ice cracks, cloudiness, mineral inclusions, asymmetry are natural). By wearing them often, you can observe subtle color changes, which typically make them appear more translucent and captivating – this is the best form of care.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral and amber) have low hardness and are sensitive to acids and alkalis. If they become dirty, avoid using detergents. Clean with pure water and wipe with a soft cloth. You can also gently brush with a soft-bristled brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (like baby oil) for maintenance.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan. Avoid external force damage or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
3. Fabric materials (ribbon, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable. They have a long lifespan. Avoid high temperatures, external force damage, or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
4. For any jewelry, when dirty, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water as appropriate, or use a suitable amount of mild detergent for appropriate materials. After washing, dry promptly.
5. When jewelry is removed, store it properly in its packaging, away from excess air to slow oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or pressing.
