**"Unlike portrait or landscape photography, street photography doesn't require you to focus on a predetermined subject or a specific location. You have the freedom to create on the streets.**
**You can capture moments in bustling neighborhoods and alleyways, and these photos will reflect people's lives.**
**Street photographers aim to share not just beautiful subjects or vast mountain ranges, but the unique stories of people."**

__**Savor the details in a photograph and discover how it can tell a complete story.**__
You might get excited about the possibilities of street photography, buy a camera, and explore streets you've walked countless times.
But **your hands can't keep up with your eyes**. You see it, but you can't capture it. Lost in the bustling streets, you find yourself unable to capture those evocative, story-rich photos.
__**You shouldn't remain indifferent as the beautiful stories around you slip away,**__
__**And you certainly shouldn't let the passion that led you to buy a camera fade away.**__
Street photography is about capturing the essence of a story in a fleeting moment. But if you simply keep pressing the shutter, documenting a stream of uninspired, story-less photos, your passion will gradually wane, leading you to feel that it doesn't matter if you shoot or not, **ultimately abandoning the pursuit of these beautiful moments**.

**Session 1 | Soul Stories in Shadows: Capturing Black and White Narratives**

Blinding sparks cut through the dark street as an old man skillfully operates a chainsaw, unfazed by the flying embers. It's clear he's been doing this for decades, a scene that repeats nightly in this alley, until tonight, when a street photographer encounters this moment... Photo by Vasil
If you've ever taken photos on the street, you'll notice how the real-world chaos of colors can often make your images appear cluttered. You see what you want to capture, but it doesn't stand out.
Therefore, we begin by mastering the fundamentals of photography: black and white light and shadow. By viewing the world in monochrome, we can focus more intently on the nuances of light and shadow, the structure of lines, and the prominence of the subject. In the unpredictable urban environment, black and white can eliminate unnecessary distractions, allowing you to easily capture compelling photos. Amidst the ever-changing streetscape, strong light and shadow often reveal the soul of a story.

Turning from the main street into a back alley, you suddenly encounter a figure standing under a dim light. A slightly stout middle-aged man leans against the wall, smoking. The dim green light outlines his mature silhouette, as if you can hear a sigh from his posture. Photo by Franky
Do you aspire to create photos that resemble movie stills, evoking a palpable atmosphere, as if a story is about to unfold? Then you need to harness the power of color.
In this session, we'll learn more impactful composition techniques and explore the emotions evoked by various color palettes: the melancholy of cool tones, the nostalgia of warm tones, the mystery of green, the romance of pink... Mastering the use of color is a skill that elevates your visuals.

"This is such a charming scene! A dark-haired child, not yet fully grown, contrasts with a fluffy white puppy. Their amusing ride in a small car down the street, one black, one white, is a moment a street photographer would instinctively capture. After all, who doesn't love joyful and whimsical moments in this era?" Photo by Franky
The purpose of street photography is to capture stories unfolding on the street. Events appear and disappear in an instant, and you must be the silent observer, pressing the shutter at the critical moment. Precisely capturing moments amidst the dynamic flow of the street is a crucial aspect of street photography.
Beyond warm, humanistic themes, there's another favorite among street photography masters: the absurd and humorous perspective. In this session, the instructor will use unique viewpoints to teach you how to make your images intriguing, even laugh-out-loud funny!

Stories are happening on the street all the time, even those you've previously overlooked. An experienced mechanic squats by the front of a car, the shop covered in oil stains, a testament to his expertise – the darker the hands, the more capable they are. Through a photograph, you can preserve a story that only you have seen. Photo by Layla
Returning to your original intention, you want to capture a variety of stories from the streets, right?
After thoroughly understanding and practicing various fundamental street photography skills, you can apply everything you've learned to reinterpret street photography in a way that truly resonates with you: giving new life to streets that many pass by without a second glance, yet are brimming with stories.
In this final session, use your unique street photography eye to capture the compelling stories of this street!
