Shopkeeper's Note: The collaboration for this product originated with Dilio approaching us. They mentioned they had been long-time users of our incense (true fans!!!) and wanted to create a joint product. When they sent the samples, I was genuinely impressed. The quality was outstanding. The circular incense holder has a glossy finish, yet its overall form and material feel sophisticated and full of character, not gaudy at all. Crucially, our incense sticks are on the thicker side (3mm), which many existing holders can't accommodate. This particular holder, however, works perfectly with both thicker and standard incense, making it ideal for our products. The leather piece designed to catch the ash initially appeared to be synthetic, but I later discovered it's genuine leather, commissioned by Dilio from Yú Jí. It's incredibly tactile. If you're burning a longer incense stick, you can adjust the spherical holder slightly upwards, allowing the ash to fall onto the leather. As the incense burns shorter, you can angle it differently. It's incredibly user-friendly, and there's no need to worry about ash damaging the leather. We've tested it thoroughly, and it's perfectly fine. After burning, simply shake the ash off the leather, wipe it clean, and it looks as good as new! The packaging has also been redesigned. Whether you purchase the holder alone or with incense sticks (currently featuring Holy Wood and White Sage), they come beautifully presented in a high-quality black gift box. Design Story: The journey of Dilio's designed aroma vessels began with desktop diffusers that carry imagination, evolved into stylish and sleek car diffusers, and now, we arrive at incense, imbued with a sense of Zen. The brand's founder, after delving into the world of crystals, developed a spiritual connection with energy and healing incenses, sparking the idea to design an incense holder. Dilio typically works with concrete, and their initial sketches for the incense holder were also based on this material. However, the designer repeatedly discarded concrete base designs, finding them either too similar to existing products or lacking overall harmony. At a creative standstill, a sudden shift in perspective led them to abandon their attachment to concrete. Instead, they opted for a handcrafted leather base and a brass incense holder, achieving maximum tactility, ease of use, and balance through a minimalist yet intelligent design. The handcrafted Italian vegetable-tanned leather base is substantial and warm, yet lightweight and sleek, elegantly catching incense ash that can be easily brushed away. The stylish, two-toned design can be flipped to either side to suit your mood or space, adding an element of playful interaction. The weighty spherical brass incense holder, with a single precisely designed hollow, rests stably on the leather base. It can be freely adjusted to accommodate incense sticks of varying lengths, a clever design that appears simple yet is profoundly sophisticated. If there's anything else added, it's my abundant blessings and love! About Holy Wood: Incan Holy Wood is a "sacred wood" used by Native Americans in rituals for thousands of years. It holds profound significance for indigenous peoples. Lower grade Holy Wood is burned in ceremonies to purify spaces and connect with the spirit world. Medium grade Holy Wood is used to craft wands and ceremonial staffs. The highest grade Holy Wood is not even permitted to be harvested and is worshipped as a deity. In Peru, Incan Holy Wood is designated as a national treasure and cannot be arbitrarily felled. Only a very few companies with national legal harvesting permits are allowed to harvest it. Palo Santo, meaning "holy wood" in South America, is a fitting name as it transforms into something sacred and medicinal from its birth, growth, to its death. Typically, an Incan Holy Wood tree lives for 80-90 years before dying. At this point, it must remain in its state for 4-10 years to complete the entire transformation process. Only in this condition, through this complete process, can the efficacy of the Incan Holy Wood reach its full potential. Holy Wood has been used by shamans and healers in Peru and Ecuador for millennia, and even today, you can still find shamans and healers in the Andes using Holy Wood in their rituals, which is even more common. About White Sage: This White Sage originates from California and is the most potent variety of sage for purification. Furthermore, Native Americans burn White Sage leaves to cleanse spaces or dwellings. Spiritual Benefits of White Sage: Dispels attachments of greed, anger, and ignorance, serving as a shield with rationality and wisdom. Cone incense is the closest form of incense to its raw materials in terms of preserving the original scent. How to Light: Insert into an incense holder (or stand) or lay flat, placing ash catcher underneath. Light the incense stick with a lighter. (After lighting, blow out the flame and let the ember continue to burn). When to Use: There are no restrictions. Some say not to burn incense at night, but essential oils, perfumes, body washes, and sprays are all fragrant. Personally, I believe your state of mind is most important. When the mind is free from attachments, there is no fear, and one is far from delusion and upside-down dreams. Where to Use: There are no restrictions; suitable for any room or office. How Much to Use: Use as needed. Personally, I suggest using it as a form of contemplative practice, with purification being just an added bonus. For Space Purification: Directly light the White Sage incense stick and hold it, or place it in an incense burner or censer. Move in a counter-clockwise direction around the space you wish to purify, whether it's a room, car, etc. Alternatively, simply light the incense and allow the smoke to naturally diffuse and purify the space. For Personal Purification: Directly light the White Sage incense stick and hold it, or place it in an incense burner or censer. Hold it about 15 cm away from your body and trace the outline of your body (generally ensuring the smoke lightly envelops you), including your head, front, back, sides, and the soles of your feet (lift your feet).
