The cloth turning black is normal; do not wash it, as this will diminish its effectiveness. * Gently brush with a toothbrush dipped in a small amount of dish soap or toothpaste, then dry. * Wipe with a clean cloth and a small amount of brass polish to restore the brass's luster.
