Earrings with Deadstock Bells, Ethnic Bells, and Blue Antique Beads

These earrings are crafted with deadstock bells, ethnic bells, and blue beads. The bells are deadstock items, sourced from Lhasa, Tibet. It's believed they may have originated from China or were perhaps made in Tibet for the Chinese market. You can see a tiger's face with the character "King" (王) and the character "Fortune" (福) at the top. While modern versions exist, these are old bells, and their wear gives them a wonderful, atmospheric quality. The origins of Indopacific beads are said to date back to the 2nd century BC. These particular beads are excavated items from Indonesia, dating back to around the 10th century – over 1000 years old!
