This is an SDGs-conscious ring featuring Kintsugi, upcycling Arita porcelain.
Broken or chipped ceramic pieces, no longer in use, are repurposed and transformed into accessories with the Kintsugi technique.
The concept behind these creations is to bring the beauty of nature and enduring Japanese traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future and unlock new possibilities.
Elegant ceramic fragments, subtly revealing a golden leaf pattern, are adorned with freshwater pearls. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the ceramic pieces, allowing the gold to elegantly shimmer from every angle, enhancing their refined appearance.
The accompanying chain is made of allergy-friendly surgical stainless steel, coated with 18K gold. This coating makes it resistant to tarnishing and gentle on the skin, ensuring comfort for those with sensitivities.
The chain length is 40cm with an additional 5cm adjuster.
Size of ceramic and natural stone motif: 20 x 15mm
Chain: 18K gold-plated surgical stainless steel (allergy-friendly)
Weight: Despite being ceramic, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.◎
As each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind accessory, it makes for an ideal gift.
Consider it for a special present for your loved ones.
*The item pictured will be sent. However, if it has been sold on another site, it may become a made-to-order item. In such cases, please note that there may be individual differences in the color, pattern, and size of the ceramic fragments and natural stones compared to the photo.
*"Kintsugi" is a traditional Japanese repair technique that mends broken or chipped pottery and porcelain using lacquer and gold powder. This piece is created using a modern, simplified Kintsugi method. Instead of traditional urushi lacquer, it utilizes a hypoallergenic synthetic lacquer and gold powder (brass powder), along with UV resin for reinforcement.
