Solder, upon contact with air, will oxidize and change over time. This is most noticeable with copper patina, shifting from bright copper to antique bronze, and eventually to a deep brown. As each item is made to order, the piece you receive will absolutely not be identical to the photos. We cannot control how handmade patinas evolve. If you appreciate vintage tones, please be patient as it develops its unique character over 4-6 months. If you are concerned about the color variations caused by oxidation, please request a black patina finish from the designer, which remains black indefinitely. Recycled vintage glass, often decades old, may feature scratches, color spots, or bubbles from its history, as well as minor scratches or chips along the edges from the grinding process (especially noticeable on clear glass and mirrors). These are all considered normal. ▴The patterns and colors in the glass are unique to each piece, making no two items exactly alike. Please communicate thoroughly with the designer before ordering to ensure a full understanding. ▴Both dyed and undyed solder will develop a patina, becoming duller or darker with air exposure (copper patina changes most significantly). ▴Do not store food items. Even 99% pure solder is not food-grade tin. ▴While some un-drilled containers can hold water, it will accelerate solder oxidation, leading to the formation of white crystals. ▴To be eco-friendly, we use simple packaging for shipping. ▴For your own protection, please record a video of yourself unboxing the glass item. Currently, only SF Express offers damage compensation. You can ask the designer to enable SF Express shipping for your order (delivery to residence only, no store pickup). All shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. Care Instructions: ▴The solder will develop an oxide layer from prolonged air exposure. Gently remove this with a toothpick. Daily cleaning involves wiping with a dry cotton cloth. ▴For advanced care, you can apply a thin layer of furniture wax (soft wax) to the surface. Once dry, buff to a shine with a dry cotton cloth.
