Wood-Fired Ancient Charm Golden Glaze Bowl / Wood-Fired 16cm Large Bowl / Xiao Ping Fan Handmade - Teapots & Teacups - Pottery

Product Description

Did you know that using the wrong bowl could lead to heavy metal poisoning? 😱😱 β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” A good bowl holds more than just food; it reflects your taste in life. This is a pure, natural wood-fired bowl, unglazed, crafted entirely from natural clay and fired with wood. The natural glaze colors are all a result of the kiln's natural effects. It may not be ornate, but it's a piece you can confidently place on your dining table, accompanying your family's meals every day. High-temperature wood firing for multiple days results in a dense and stable interior and exterior, making it heat-resistant and microwave-safe. You don't need to worry about heavy metal or chemical leaching. Serve hot soup, hot rice, or hot tea with confidence for the whole family πŸ‘ 🌟 Diameter: 16cm 🌟 Height: 9cm 🌟 Microwave safe Handmade, not mass-produced, these are everyday beautiful pieces born from the firing process. β€”β€”β€” In the 5th Shanghai International Wood Firing Ceramic Competition in 2023, both artists from Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio, Chen Shiping and Wang Yufan, had their works selected for excellence awards. Your support is our motivation to continue creating. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341561855_249c0591a6_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341437984_c608c50771_c.jpg 2023 Media Interview: The Lean Startup Journey of Xiao Ping Fan Art https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341329978_bb6984d457_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341561785_f553253a82_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341329968_8834731df8_c.jpg Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio's works do not pursue mass production. Each creation possesses a unique concept and design, imbuing the process of hand-shaping or wheel-throwing with life. Every piece is one-of-a-kind. Our studio's works are created together by us, a couple, hence the signatures "Ping" or "Fan," and some pieces feature the "Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio" seal. Truly unique!! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567264550_68d52fdae8_b.jpg **1. What is the origin of the works?** We primarily use American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay from Taiwan for our creations. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015014_0b15931da0_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565549942_7663197885_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015039_4c2a9b80e3_c.jpg **2. What is the wood-firing process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in different proportions. The creation process involves hand-shaping (not on a wheel) to slowly form the piece. After basic shaping, the body lines are refined, followed by sanding to complete the greenware. Once loaded into the kiln, it undergoes a continuous five-day, four-night wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a special ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flame patterns flow among the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire marks. After five days and four nights of ash and fire pattern interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! Because the kiln atmosphere differs with each wood firing, the ash deposits and fire patterns on each piece are never the same, making every work unique! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015104_1eec785177_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567264535_7bd0037e60_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533012_fdce6d65a3_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51566346721_2b98f539f8_c.jpg **3. What should our esteemed guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As these are purely handmade creations, they will retain the marks of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process, such as slight imperfections in the rim or minor crafting scratches. These are normal and do not affect usability. We appreciate your understanding! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533097_13ea71a377_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533012_219eca4133_c.jpg **4.
