A Century-Old French Galloping Horse Sculpture Multifunctional Desk Organizer—Signed by the Artist (Inkwell, Letter Holder, Pen Rest, Wax Seal Stamp Holder) This is an antique piece from France, featuring a base material of tin with gold or brass plating. At its center stands a three-dimensional galloping horse, with a pen rest at its back. The space between the horse and the pen rest ingeniously serves as a letter holder, and there's also a dedicated spot for wax seal stamps at the front. This is a versatile antique desk accessory combining four distinct functions. When this piece was first acquired, it was completely covered in dark green paint (shown in the last image). After cleaning off the paint with turpentine, its original color was restored. It is recommended to leave the darker areas as they are; these are formed by the oxidation of the tin. When I finished cleaning it a month ago, it appeared silvery-gray, and after oxidizing, it has taken on its current appearance. Personally, I find its present state to be its most original and beautiful form, and further treatment is not advised. Upon cleaning, it was also an unexpected discovery that this is not a mass-produced, molded item, but a piece signed by the artist. This indicates that its original production quantity was limited.
