The Monet brand was born in 1927, founded by brothers Michael and Joseph Chernow in Rhode Island. Initially, the company's name was Monocraft Products Co., specializing in making decorations for women's handbags. It was not until 1937 that Monet's jewelry brand and works debuted on the market. Monet's design style has been constantly changing and innovating under the influence of the times. Its unique design and continuous breakthrough technology research and development have given the brand a place in the fashion industry. Monet was acquired by General Mills in 1969 and collaborated with renowned fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent to launch a special collection in 1980. After many changes, it was finally acquired by Liz Claiborne, Inc., a large American company, in 2000.
