This is a K10 (10k) necklace featuring a single, exquisite Spessartite Garnet, boasting a fresh and vibrant orange hue. Among Spessartite Garnets, those with a vivid, deep orange or reddish tint are specially regarded as "Mandarin Garnets" and are highly sought after. Garnets come in a rich variety of colors, and this particular orange shade adds a touch of elegance to any piece. Spessartite Garnet is also the birthstone for January.
The milgrain embellishments that gently embrace the small gemstone carry the meaning of "a thousand grains" in Latin. Traditionally used as an auspicious decoration, it evokes notions of eternity, abundance, fertility, and longevity.
This jewelry series, named 'Petela,' combines 'mille grain,' which forms an unbroken circle and means 'a thousand grains' in French, with 'petit,' meaning small.
We've infused this collection with the wish: "May the feelings held within this small gem continue eternally."
You can choose your birthstone or a favorite colored stone and wear it daily as a protective charm. It's perfect as a subtle accent for office wear or layered with other necklaces for added flair on special occasions.
Its simple and understated design also makes it an excellent choice for a gift to a loved one.
This necklace features a single Spessartite Garnet set on a delicate cable chain, offering a timeless and simple design. Crafted entirely in yellow gold, it exudes a sense of luxury, yet the fine chain and petite pendant create a delicate silhouette, making it easy to wear even for those unaccustomed to jewelry.
It is recommended as a first piece of fine jewelry, a gift, or a treat for yourself. You can cherish it like a protective charm, blending the series' meaning with the individual symbolism of each gemstone.

■ Stone Meanings: Truth, Love, Loyalty, Vitality, etc.
Its Japanese name is 満礬柘榴石 (Manban Zakuroishi), and its Mohs hardness is 7-7.5.
Spessartite Garnet is famously known as the birthstone for January.
Garnets are named "Zakuro-ishi" (pomegranate stone) in Japanese due to the resemblance of their rough crystals to the seeds of a ripe pomegranate. The name is said to originate from the Latin word "granatus," meaning "seed," and has been cherished since ancient times as a "symbol of fruition."
Among the diverse colors of garnets, those with an orange hue, due to the presence of manganese, are called "Spessartite Garnets." The name "Spessartine" is derived from its discovery in "Spessart," southern Germany, in the mid-1800s.
While Spessartite Garnet became known as a mineral in the 19th century, it only became widely circulated in jewelry from the 1990s onwards. Following the successive discoveries of high-quality rough stones in Namibia, Nigeria, and Tanzania, commercial mining advanced, bringing this gemstone to prominence in the colored stone market. Among these, the vivid, deep orange or reddish hues are especially prized as "Mandarin Garnets."
Alongside Demantoid and Tsavorite, Spessartite Garnet is relatively rare among garnets and is highly popular in jewelry. Its beauty and accessibility make it an excellent choice for a personal treat or a commemorative gift.
