A self-proclaimed "stamp carving professional," the artist currently resides in Taiwan, working diligently in an old apartment in Taipei to create and sell stamps. Previously an editor for magazines and books at a publishing house, they now focus exclusively on stamp design. Every season, handmade artistic stamps are released, with their collected works published in volumes no. 1-8, featuring over 100 stamps in total. Published books include: "A Handmade Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stampers: Next Stamp Class." Using erasers as the primary carving material, each stamp is painstakingly created with deliberate cuts. Stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday discoveries, landscapes and encounters from travels, and cherished objects (incorporating elements like text / flora / geometry / nature / architecture...). These elements are then deconstructed and reassembled, employing multi-layered lines, intersecting planes, minimalist main and secondary lines, foreign text, and meticulously noted symbols to form the stamp imagery. The artist enjoys combining stamps and colors, orchestrating solo performances, collaborations, and repetitions among stamps of various sizes. Many graphic designs also originate from stamp fragments, extended through printing combinations into designs such as postcards and washi tape.
