The July day began magnificently. The sun shone brightly in the clear blue sky. The discordant bird choir from the very morning created a bright background sound and added joy to the mood. But already closer to the middle of the day, clouds began to quickly float in from behind the distant forest. At first there were few of them. But gradually there were more of them. Their color became darker and more menacing. The wind blew in separate, strong gusts. It gathered small clouds into large ones, gradually covering the sky with a dirty blue-gray blanket. Beyond the distant forest, at the very horizon, individual, not yet frequent lightning flashed.
And a menacing silence hung over the meadow. The birds fell silent. The wind also died down. The calm before the thunderstorm. Trees, grass, flowers, everything froze. Everything has acquired dark, blue-violet shades. Even the bright lupines seem to have faded. Their bright inflorescences, like holiday candles comfortably located among the thick grass near the path through the meadow, froze in anticipation of the rain.
In a few moments, the thunderstorm will reach here too. The wind will bring clouds that will pour down a heavy summer rain. Thunder will make a little noise high in the sky.
And it will all end. The clouds will pour out the accumulated moisture. The earth will absorb this water. This is just a summer thunderstorm. It will relieve the accumulated tension, wash away the collected dust, cleanse the air and greenery, wash the earth from everything that has accumulated and prevents beauty from being bright and joyful.
And the sun will shine again. Birds will sing cheerful songs. Trees, bushes and grass will become bright and juicy, having drunk moisture from the rain. Flowers will become bright and with renewed vigor will give their beauty and aroma. Nature will renew itself.
That's how it happens in people's lives. Sometimes, in order to free oneself from the old, the heavy, the things that prevent one from moving forward easily, a "thunderstorm" is needed. It can be hard, and sometimes even painful. But it is a renewal, a liberation. Liberation from old habits, moral attitudes and principles, old views that prevent one from seeing the new. And there is absolutely no need to be afraid of it. Renewals can sometimes be painful. But these are renewals. One simply needs to gather one's strength and survive the "thunderstorm".
That is the idea I put into this work of mine. And I hope that I was able to convey it.
Let this mood be transmitted to the new owner of this painting of mine. Let it support one in difficult moments of life.
