A little brother of scampi JKT, this ‘Half Scampi’ is our original upcycled product, reformed from thoroughly selected high end Japanese vintage Kimono. Relaxed half sleeve and smart stand collar are our signature. It's produced by KimonoFUNKY Super light, breezy and airy, 80s Japanese vintage silk Kimono in dark blue is used for this elegant Kimono shirt. Anothe silk Kimono in royal blue is patch-worked on the inner collar to make it even more classy. Perfect for summer sunlight, easy to just put on your tees/tank tops. UMUI team designs and the sewing is in charge of Machiko(79), over 50 years experienced local seamstresses. Her wisdom and high skill are the key of UMUI collection. She wouldn’t want to waste both fabric and history of Japanese artisan work of Kimono. She has a warm respect for vintage works and former Kimono seamstresses. Each item has her ingenious works in various corners of the items such as sleeves, front inner, collars, the pattern matching, balances and patch working. Those tiny efforts to save the material is her speciality. UMUI’ gift wrapping/box/packaging are all recyclable materials We aim to be human+eco-friendly for this project.
