Hong Kong Grouper
In the 1860s, it was one of the common fish found in Hong Kong's coral reef waters. However, with the rapid development of Hong Kong's fisheries and fishing by Chinese vessels, the wild population of Hong Kong Grouper drastically declined. It is currently considered endangered. Like the Humphead Wrasse, they can transition from female to male. The oldest recorded individual lived to be nineteen years old.
