It also happens to be the graduation season, a time of farewells. Parting in the rain is sad and leaves one speechless, which is why I named this series "Rain Color" (a homophone for "Farewell"). This set uses hydrangeas I’ve painted over the years, and I also asked a friend to paint some hydrangeas in her style. Her style is softer and resembles a distant view, so her paintings will be shrunk and placed in the background. My drawings, with clear boundaries created using the appliqué method, will serve as the foreground flowers in focus. The color tones are adjusted to be low-saturation, reminiscent of hydrangeas in the rain on Yangmingshan. I hope everyone will like it.
