Ceramics that are broken, chipped, or no longer in use are upcycled and transformed into accessories with the art of kintsugi. Our concept is to create modern accessories that connect to the future, allowing you to feel closer to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, while breathing new life and possibilities into these cherished items. We've paired delicate purple pottery shards, adorned with hand-painted artistry, with freshwater pearls. The sides of the pottery shards feature kintsugi, allowing the lustrous gold to catch the light beautifully from every angle, adding an elegant touch. The ring size is 17mm (which generally corresponds to a size 7 in US sizing, though this can vary by brand), but it's an adjustable design, so it can be expanded to fit comfortably, making it suitable for anyone. This work uses a modern, simplified kintsugi technique. Therefore, unlike traditional urushi lacquer made from the sap of the lacquer tree, this process uses adhesive for the primary bonding.
