Thank you. Aloe descoigsii Reynolds is a succulent herb from the Asparagaceae family, native to Madagascar. It typically grows to a height of 4-5 cm and a width of 6-8 cm. The leaves are triangular to ovate-lanceolate, forming a rosette. The fleshy leaves are dark green, measuring 3-4 cm. The leaf surface is densely covered with small white spots. Its flowers are small, bell-shaped, and pale orange-yellow. Aloe descoigsii is considered the world's smallest aloe variety! The popular 'Patting Aloe' is actually a hybrid of Aloe descoigsii and Aloe 'Hatsume Nishiki' (also known as 'Feather Blue'), and it's also one of the easiest varieties to care for. | Watering | Drought-tolerant. Water sparingly when newly planted. Water more during the growing season, but reduce watering in summer and keep dry to help it through the heat. Water according to the principle of watering only when dry and watering thoroughly. Typically, water every 5-10 days. | Light | Full sun. It's best to place the aloe in a well-ventilated spot with ample sunlight. However, during the hot summer months, it needs protection from direct sun. In peak summer, it's ideal to move it to a location with bright, indirect light. | Fertilizing | Fertilize during the growing season, but use a diluted solution. Apply fertilizer once every half month during the growing period.
